Hours of work: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm M-F

Summary

Keeps premises of office building and designated shop areas in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, conference rooms, lunchroom, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures. Replaces restroom/bathroom supplies as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Cleans and vacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and window coverings. Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, door panels and sills as needed.
• Empties wastebaskets, transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools.

• Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions. Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a related role at an office and/or industrial setting.
