Job summary

GRI Engineering & Development, LLC, a MAT Holdings, Inc. member, is expanding and opening a new distribution center in Shannon, Mississippi. We seek motivated individuals to join our warehouse team and support procurement, vendor liaison, and general office functions.

The role involves processing supply requests, creating POs, maintaining vendor relations, and handling routine clerical duties. Ideal candidates have office experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with SAP or WMS

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend, respond to, and create written instructions, e-mail correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and make simple calculations.
• Ability to work with often-changing circumstances in the Logistics field.
• Ability to think clearly, take initiative, and work independently.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers via phone and email.
• High school diploma and one-year experience working in an office environment.
• Must have computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SAP or other WMS systems a plus.
• Familiarity with a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment a plus.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Processes requests for supplies and purchase orders from leadership staff, receives in and distributes orders and supplies.
• Acts as facility-level liaison between vendors, Accounts Payable, and the Corporate Finance team.
• Creates Purchase Orders for both supplies and facility projects; maintains office supplies.
• Maintains vendor relationships, requests bids for annual and consumable supplies.
• Perform routine clerical functions, such as, file retention; document information promptly and clearly.
• Operates independently and have the desire to learn new processes.
• Answer phone calls, direct calls and messages as appropriate.
• Greet visitors and direct as appropriate.
• Process requests to IT Service Desk.
• Other duties as assigned.
