We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable, responsive individual to work in an NCDOT Resident Engineer's Office in the greater Mills River area as an Office Administrative Assistant / NCDOT CEI Inspector. This position will support field technicians and engineers to ensure HiCAMS-related functions are in compliance with contract agreements, standards, and specifications. This position requires the performance of a wide variety of standardized and non-standardized assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing data. Work involves decision making and the use of construction-based judgment. Employee must perform a full range of calculations and computations and be proficient in record keeping and bookkeeping. Additional duties may include duties such as reviewing contractor’s certified payrolls for FHWA compliance and scheduling, DBE and EEO compliance, maintaining technician certifications, maintaining construction project budgets, reviewing CEI invoices, checking calculations, researching project documents, and performing construction project closeout documentation. Work may include other office duties and responsibilities as assigned.
As a NCDOT CEI Technician, you will be assigned to one or more active construction sites and be responsible for verifying the quality and compliance of project activities in accordance with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) standards and specifications. You will have the opportunity to advance your skillset through on-the-job training as well as attendance at certification.
