BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1. High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2. Prior secretarial experience.
- 3. Proficiency in typing skills.
- 4. Experienced with Excel, Microsoft Word, and other computer systems.
- 5. Organized, with ability to multi-task while performing high-quality work in stressful situations.
- 6. Remain courteous, poised, and gracious to the general public and staff at all times.
- 7. Be a Notary Public or ability to obtain notary status.
- 8. Proficient spoken and written English.
- 9. Punctual, trustworthy, honest, and reliable.
- Be at work from 8am-5pm, 5 days per week.
- 10. Pass background, criminal history check, and drug test.
- OTHER: Ability to speak and understand Spanish, though not a qualification requirement, is desirable.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES
- 1. Perform Legal Secretarial work for Attorneys.
- 2. Primary duties include (but are not limited to): Type and prepare, accurately and professionally, and within time constraints, a multitude of legal documents.
- 3. Create, organize, maintain and manage case files in an orderly fashion.
- 4. Locate and obtain information including names, addresses, and locations of individuals.
- 5. File court papers and documents with proper office in a timely fashion using the E-File system.
- 6. Secondary duties include (but are not limited to): Answering in-coming telephone lines and directing callers to proper individual/entity.
- 7. Taking messages for all employees.
- 8. Greeting and assisting visitors/callers in a cordial and polite manner.
- 9. Assist other staff as directed by the District Attorney, First Asst. or Office Manger
SALARY
FROM: $38,500.00 TO: $40,040.00/ANNUALLY
