Qualifications

• Minimum of five years coaching experience.
• Must possess or demonstrate the qualifications to obtain South Carolina educator certification.
• Such alternatives to these qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and assists the Athletic Director in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of athletic coaches and staff members.
• Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
• Responsible for the health and safety of student athletes. Ensures that proper safety and first aid procedures are followed at all times.
• Fosters parent and student athlete relationships; conducts parent meetings prior to the season.
• Ensures the sports program complies with school and district rules, SC High School League, and conference requirements.
