Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Offal Operator to help keep production running safely and efficiently. You will load offal and feather trailers, monitor wastewater systems, and ensure environmental compliance while maintaining accurate documentation.

This hands-on role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; maintenance experience is a plus. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Strong reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Load offal and feather trailers to >40,000 lbs per trailer.
• Pump each tank to keep blood content <3%.
• Drain trailers to keep free water <2%.
• Maintain operation of system equipment during shifts.
• Clean and wash Offal and Wastewater areas for sanitation.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and wastewater treatment chemicals safely.
• Assist wastewater operator in maintaining proper effluent compliance.
• Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain daily paperwork and documentation.
• Coordinate with rendering contractor to schedule loads.
• Operate jockey truck and over-the-road tractor.
• Follow safety procedures; use PPE; report unsafe conditions; Lockout-Tagout and PSM practices.
• Notify Lead Operator or Environmental Manager of concerns.
