Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician for 2nd shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment to keep operations running smoothly. You will perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders promptly while upholding safety policies and Tyson procedures.
Applicants should have at least 3 months of mechanical experience or have completed automotive/mechanical training. Physical requirements and site-specific safety guidelines apply.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, keeping machinery running, preventative maintenance, all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must identify all parts, supplies and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area and completes work orders in a timely manner meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines to reduce downtime and meet production goals. This position requires lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. Work environment is cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy. Must be able to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools.
3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
