Tyson Foods is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for on-site duties in Georgia. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets, while upholding safety and Tyson policies.
The successful candidate will work the 3rd shift, use basic hand tools, and communicate clearly in writing and spoken form. A minimum of one year in mechanical work or a graduate of industrial maintenance is required, with comprehensive benefits provided.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be willing to use basic hand tools. Basic mechanical or maintenance skills, knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, welding, able to read & understand assignments, able to communicate orally & in writing, willing to hear/respond to two-way radio, willing to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet, willing to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, willing able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
Must have a minimum of (1) year of mechanical work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 1 year.)
