Job summary

Pilgrim’s is a leading global food company focused on safety and quality. The Offal Attendant/Jockey Driver Afternoons role supports production in the afternoon and occasional nights, with duties including handling condemned products, weighing and recording, and equipment setup.

The position requires a forklift license, English literacy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Schedule: Monday–Friday with potential weekends; base pay includes a small shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Collect condemn product by lot and weigh/record it for transfer.
  • Weigh and code condemn product, ensuring correct trailer routing.
  • Prepare condemn product for transfer by dying condemn product.
  • Maintain offal room clean and efficient; spray screens and pits as needed.
  • Set up and start equipment, including offal grinder, to meet production needs.
  • Record bi-product weights for container of heart, liver, lungs, etc.
  • Assist with operational cleanup.
  • Put birds in lairage area until replacement arrives.
  • Fill forklift tanks and maintain safe handling.
  • Observe and enforce safety, quality, and food safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Offal Attendant/Jockey Driver Afternoons

Responsibilities:
  • Collects condemn product by lot and on a periodic basis from 1st processing.
  • Weighs and records all condemn product, scaling product under correct code, ensuring all product is sent to correct trailer.
  • Prepares condemn product for transfer by dying condemn product.
  • Maintains the offal room in a clean, efficient manner, spraying screens and offal pit as needed.
  • Set up and start the equipment, including offal grinder to meet the needs of production.
  • Accurately record bi-product weights for container of heart, liver, lungs etc.
  • Assists with operational clean up.
  • Put birds in lairage area until replacement arrives
  • Fill up all forklift tanks
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers and leadership teams.
  • Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, and safety and food safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned
