Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Safety Specialist to conduct regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment, ensuring adherence to all safety standards and regulations.
This full-time role requires 50-70% travel within Ohio and responsibility for staff and volunteer safety training, drills, and incident documentation. A healthcare safety background with an associate degree and relevant certifications is preferred.

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Conducts safety inspections and trainings to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Associate's Degree in Healthcare Safety, Environmental Safety, Fire Science, related field, equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree, required.

Four years of experience in healthcare safety or related field, required.
