Kdc/one is currently growing and we are looking for an experienced Off-Shift Quality Supervisor as part of the kdc/one network, we are the leading best-in-class producer of beautyand personal care products!

This role shift supervises, organizes, directs, and measures all activities performed by the off-shift Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure that production schedules are met, and products are released in accordance with GMP and FDA standards so the company can meet customer attainment and financial goals.

The essential duties of the role include:

• Plans and manages the activities of the off-shift QA and QC team to ensure production schedules are met within quality, safety, and operational standards; leads inspection of all incoming components using customer standards/blueprint, certified test equipment/tools, and ANSI/ASQC inspection standards and supports receiving incoming labels into SAP and performs inspection of labels using customer standards and scanning software
• Provides direction, expertise, and timely resolution to quality-related issues affecting production and product release.
• Participates and/or conducts investigations, including root cause analysis, related to quality deviations, out of specification (OOS) Materials and non-conformances and develops and executes corrective actions as required.
• Participates in the internal quality audit program and assists in corrective action process to ensure audit results are improved.
• Facilitates the documentation process initiated by Customer Service and/or Engineering for new product start-ups and process transfers. Ensures all documentation, such as bill of materials and fill & assembly documents, are complete and ready for production.
• Assists with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.
• Trains, coaches and develop employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manage performance expectations and deliver feedback.
• Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other paperwork according to established company policy.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information, other sensitive and confidential information.
• Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and work outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or related science field is required.
• Minimum three years of supervisory/lead experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience using various laboratory equipment and aseptic sampling techniques, BAM or USP Microbiological testing methodologies, preferably in a cosmetics or pharmaceutical laboratory environment is required.
