Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Off-Shift Quality Supervisor to join our team. This role oversees, organizes, and directs the activities of the off-shift Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure production schedules are met and products are released in compliance with GMP and FDA standards, supporting our company's customer satisfaction and financial objectives.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the off-shift QA and QC teams to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards while meeting production schedules; inspecting incoming components using customer standards, blueprints, certified testing equipment, and ANSI/ASQC standards; supporting the receipt of labels into SAP and inspecting labels with scanning software.
  • Providing guidance and timely resolution for quality issues affecting production and product release.
  • Conducting investigations into quality deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) materials, and non-conformances, including root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participating in internal quality audits and supporting corrective actions to improve audit results.
  • Facilitating documentation processes for new product start-ups and process transfers, ensuring all documentation is complete and ready for production.
  • Assisting with safety investigations and implementing corrective actions for safety hazards or incidents.
  • Training, coaching, and developing department employees to meet performance expectations and departmental objectives; managing performance reviews and related documentation.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
  • Ensuring regular attendance and working outside normal hours as needed to support workplace demands; performing other duties as required.

Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related science field.
  • At least three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Minimum of three years' experience with laboratory equipment, aseptic sampling, and microbiological testing methodologies, preferably in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.
