Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated seeks a Shift Lead in Indianapolis to provide leadership for off-shift, weekend, and holiday plant operations. You will serve as the primary site contact outside regular hours, ensuring safety, productivity, and engagement while supporting site objectives.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement and effective communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including team leadership.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing with operational decision-making responsibility.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead meetings and share updates.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary plant contact during off-shift, weekend, and holiday operations.
• Act as Incident Commander during EHS emergencies and coordinate responses as needed.
• Provide first responder support within training requirements and coordinate resources.
• Coordinate emergency maintenance and allocate resources to minimize disruption.
• Monitor plant operations for issues, gaps, or trends requiring escalation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, reliability, quality, and cost.
