Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a production worker to join a team focused on quality and safety. You will sort, handle, install, test, and clean up components as part of a dynamic manufacturing process.

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints is desired.
• A drug screen and physical are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and counts parts and materials.
• Loads, moves or carries parts and materials to the work area.
• Loads and unloads racks, skids, dollies, conveyors, and floats.
• Grinds, trims, buffs, sands, and de-burrs sheet metal parts using hand and power tools.
• Use hand tools such as tape measure and specialty equipment.
• Install unit vehicle components and accessories.
• Testing of installed components.
• Maintains work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.

Normal Work Hours - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
