Job summary

Altec's Supply Warehouse in St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate. The starting wage is $22.50 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience within the career path.

The role emphasizes material handling, forklift/picker operations, and adherence to safety and quality policies. You will learn and operate warehouse equipment, support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Related experience in material handling, forklift/picker, and warehouse is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and timely work on each job performed.
• Follow all established safety & quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Use computer programs – Learn Oracle database / Altec Navigator.

Basic Qualifications

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

High School or GED is required

Preferred (please make sure related experience is on the resume or application)

• Material Handling experience
• Forklift / Picker experience
• Warehouse experience
• Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus
• Ability to read and understand technical documents – i.e. engineering drawings
