Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking an Data Center Operations Manager (Off-Shift) to lead a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining server hardware and components.

You will oversee complex installations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with teams to meet facility goals. The role requires non-standard hours, weekends, and night shifts as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• 3 years of experience managing technical team.
• Experience with hardware, operating systems, network architecture, people management, communication, teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Center Technicians and set/communicate priorities to support goals.
• Partner with teams to manage facility activities and implement short- and long-term strategies.
• Maintain and improve security and operational procedures and analyze trends for improvements.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, or infrastructure.
• Support EHS/compliance programs and incidents in collaboration with other teams.
