Job summary

Nestlé S.A. is seeking a Controls Technical Specialist (Industrial Automation) at its Atlanta, GA facility.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PLC and PC-based automation systems, overseeing PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on production equipment while collaborating with the maintenance team on line changes. The role requires working an off-shift schedule (2nd or 3rd) based on candidate preference and business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years PLC software and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline plus 1+ year PLC and HMI experience.
• Willingness to work either a 2nd or 3rd shift as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Configure, program and troubleshoot PLCs on production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance for controls and manage control parts inventory.
• Provide electrical and programming support on plant capital projects.
• Implement control system software upgrades.
• Support instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software/hardware for maintenance staff.
• Assist with training of maintenance personnel.
