Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Production Machinist for our on-site shop in Euclid, Ohio. You will follow engineering prints, set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment to produce or repair components.

Required five years of set-up and operation experience, ability to read complex blueprints, and competency with Fanuc programming. Shift options include 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC lathe, CNC Mill, Manual Lathe, Bridgeport, Jig Bore, EDM, Surface Grinder, ID/OD Grinder.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and manufacture equipment such as tools, jigs, fixtures, master dies, molds, gauges, inspection equipment.
• Set up and operate machining and grinding equipment, perform layout, fitting, assembly, and manufacturing operations.
• Use existing or develop new methods, processes, and equipment for manufacturing and repair operations.
• Develop, set-up, and operate prototype, sample, or experimental procedures or production lots.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement equipment.
• Follow engineering prints, specifications, and routing sheets; propose modifications.
• Inspect all work with appropriate measurement instruments.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
