Job summary

The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) in Silver Springs, Nevada, is seeking a Test Technician to assist engineers in planning and executing vehicle tests, operate test and support vehicles, and collect accurate test data.

You will troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues, document procedures and observations, and support the creation of technical reports. Outdoor/off-road environments and variable terrain are part of the job; the role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent with 2+ years related experience or technical certification.
• Ability to schedule varying shifts per project requirements.
• Valid Nevada driver's license and insurability under employer policy.
• Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn test, data-acquisition, instrumentation, and database software.
• Basic skills in data entry and report creation/generation.
• Strong reading comprehension to follow instructions accurately.
• Effective communication with engineers, project managers and technicians.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, staffing, and documenting vehicle testing activities.
• Operate test and support vehicles and collect data per procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues during tests.
• Maintain and verify instrumentation and data-acquisition equipment.
• Prepare and document test observations, findings, and results for reports.
