Job summary

NATC's Silver Springs, NV site seeks a Junior Automotive Engineer to assist in performance and durability testing across vehicle platforms. You will work with a multidisciplinary team under a Program Manager, supporting development and testing of mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; 1 year of related experience.
• Willing to work >40 hours per week.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid NV driver's license.
• Must have fundamental automotive knowledge.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality and strong organization/time management.
• Able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares test plans identifying test type, facilities, schedule, resources.
• Oversees installation of instrumentation packages.
• Performs field tests to define vehicle performance characteristics.
• Collaborates with mechanics and technicians to complete tests on time and budget.
• Analyzes data and communicates results via reports or briefings.
• Researches background data to support testing procedures.
• Supports FMEA analysis and design changes.
• Provides support to other engineers and program managers.
• Maintains professional relations with employees and customers.
