Job summary

The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) in Silver Springs, NV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain a diverse fleet of heavy construction and support vehicles. Under shop supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gasoline, diesel, and electric drivetrain systems to support vehicle testing.

The position requires a high school diploma and 2 years of gas/diesel experience, ability to work 40+ hours, a Nevada CDL, and good

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus two years gas and diesel mechanic experience.
Able to work >40 hours per week with varied shifts.
Possess Nevada CDL and clean driving record.
Bring and use personally owned tools.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and document repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on gasoline and diesel powered heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, cranes, etc.).
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using proper tools and test equipment.
Maintain records of maintenance actions and inspect/test vehicles for compliance.
Support field repairs and on-call duties as needed.
Document deficiencies and assist in root cause analysis.
