Job summary

Ford Racing is seeking a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize total vehicle performance across off-road racing programs, focusing on T1+ and Stock Truck platforms.

You will work with vehicle dynamics, chassis, powertrain, aerodynamics, and electrical teams to translate capability into race-winning strategies, including setup, testing, and race-day decisions. This hybrid role requires four days onsite in Allen Park, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in race/performance engineering or motorsports.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of performance engineering methodologies for Ford Racing programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet program goals.
• Own performance activities for T1+ and Stock Truck platforms; support others as needed.
• Establish structured processes to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
• Translate test data into actionable race strategies and setup recommendations.
