Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company in Virginia is seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver to safely operate off-highway trucks within quarry and plant environments. You will move crushed stone, sand and gravel, and related materials while following safety and company rules.

This role requires attention to truck controls, pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance, and effective communication with maintenance teams. A valid driver's license and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Typically less than 2 years of experience operating off-road trucks in a commercial setting.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow MSHA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate off-road haul trucks to transport material within Vulcan facilities.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, reporting maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Maintain fluid levels, functionality and tire pressure; perform basic maintenance checks.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Washing of the haul truck for inspections when required using high pressure hose or steam cleaner.
