Job description

Off Highway Haul Truck Driver

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. Responsibilities include performing maintenance duties, operating pit and yard loaders, conducting daily pre-shift inspections, and minor repairs on the haul truck. Hours are from 7 am to 5 pm, including weekends as necessary.

Typical daily tasks include:

1. Operating a haul truck within company guidelines and safety standards.
2. Participating in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and following company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
3. Assisting in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining the product pile as needed.
4. Performing pre-shift safety inspections and reporting repairs to the supervisor.
5. Conducting preventative maintenance and maintaining good housekeeping of equipment.
6. Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders safely as needed.
7. Training co-workers as needed.
8. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience necessary for the role.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of mobile equipment or processing plant equipment.
• Six (6) months of experience as a haul truck driver or related experience preferred.
