Position Summary:

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, operate the pit and yard loaders safely and efficiently, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and carry out minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.

Location: Ball Ground Quarry, Ball Ground, GA

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Typical duties for an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver include:

1. Operating a haul truck within company guidelines and safety standards
2. Participating in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and following company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
3. Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as needed
4. Performing pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor
5. Performing preventative maintenance, servicing mobile equipment, and maintaining good housekeeping of equipment
6. Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders safely as needed
7. Assisting in the training of co-workers as needed
8. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities of this position
• Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants
• Six (6) months of experience as a haul truck driver or related experience (preferred)
