Job summary

Interstate Power Systems in Omaha, NE is hiring a Senior Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and related systems. You will troubleshoot electrical, fuel, cooling, drivetrain, hydraulic and aftertreatment systems and perform preventative maintenance with precise service documentation.

Qualifications

Experience as a diesel technician or related role.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment.
Experience with electronic diagnostics and repair software preferred.
Commitment to safety, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, cooling, drivetrain, hydraulic, and aftertreatment systems.
Complete preventative maintenance and major component repairs.
Use diagnostic software, technical manuals, and computerized troubleshooting tools.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend repair solutions.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a diesel technician, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, truck technician, or related role
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment
Experience with electronic diagnostics and repair software is preferred
Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Valid driver's license required
