Job summary

RFA Engineering seeks an entry-mid level Mechanical Engineer for product design and validation at a customer’s world-class facility in Tucson, AZ. You will support development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of large off-highway equipment, with exposure to machine systems, controls, electrical, hydraulics, and autonomous tech.

This full-time role offers opportunities to work with engineers, technicians, and operators in shop and field environments, with strong growth potential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Ability to travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and validation of large off-highway construction and mining equipment.
• Plan and execute machine-level testing activities to evaluate product performance, functionality, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and controls-related issues on prototype and production equipment.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to support engineering decisions and product improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, operators, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers to solve technical challenges.
• Support new product introduction, continuous product improvement, and quality initiatives.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, test reports, and technical summaries.
• Participate in field, shop, and proving-ground activities while working directly with heavy equipment.
