Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is seeking an Off-Duty Officer (ODO) to provide a safe, secure environment for high-profile clients.

The role focuses on advanced planning, threat assessment, and problem-solving, with responsibilities spanning executive protection and on-site security across diverse settings. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with law enforcement background, POST certification, active CCW/exposed firearms permits, and required state security

Qualifications

• POST certification required or active/retired law enforcement status.
• Active CCW and Exposed Firearms permits required.
• State guard certification as prescribed by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and secure environment for client.
• Manage security operations, on-site protection, and client assets safeguarding.
• Observe for unusual activity and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct investigation and surveillance support; provide executive protection.
• Travel up to 50% may be required; support multiple divisions as needed.

About the role:The Off-Duty Officer (ODO) provides a safe and secure environment for the client. The focus of the ODO is specialized client management with a focus on advanced planning, threat assessment, and problem-solving. Management can be implemented through one-on-one security protection, residential protection, and/or an elaborate tracking or monitoring system. The ODO team is chosen from a cross-section of Federal, State, and local law enforcement to provide security services ranging from Fortune 500 companies to entertainment industry executives, major special events, and any other type of venue requiring a secure presence. The ODO reports to the Operations Manager.The Off Duty Officer (ODO) supports all divisions of the company, including but not limited to Retail, Special Operations, and OperationsIn this role, your responsibilities will be:Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situationsAbility to work independently and provide exceptional customer service to our clientsBuild a safe and friendly setting for visitors and clients in a professional manner, as well as safeguarding client assetsObserve for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on-siteInvestigation and surveillance supportProduct escortExecutive protectionPerform other related duties as requiredAs a candidate, you must have:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceThree plus years of law enforcement experienceActive/retired law enforcementPOST certificationActive CCW and Exposed Firearms permitsProof of annual firearms requalification OR annual firearms training courseComplete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client-requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise notedMust be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm, with the ability to deliver a high level of customer serviceDomestic and/or International Travel up to 50% of time may be requiredHave flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team with overtime when neededWe offer:$40 per hourHealth, Dental, Vision, and 401 (k) for eligible employeesPaid Time Off including Sick/Safe TimeA dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growthSecurity Agency #759Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
