Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Off-Cycle Payroll Associate. In this role, the Payroll Specialist applies strong analytical skills to review PeopleSoft reports, queries, job data, employee pay history, and off- cycle payroll requests to determine accurate next steps within the off- cycle framework. The position works both independently and collaboratively, and you will be learning processes from subject matter experts, applying technical knowledge to assigned payroll transactions, and communicating status updates clearly to teammates. Daily work includes auditing payroll transactions, assessing timelines, understanding workflow dependencies, and helping move the team toward finalizing daily payrolls. The role requires initiative and ownership during structured onboarding, active participation in training, and consistent management of assigned transactions to stay aligned with team throughput. A positive, flexible attitude is essential, as the specialist may assist with additional duties as needed. The role also leverages Excel proficiency to perform basic calculations and make edits to established complex workbooks. With daily team volume ranging from 200–800 transactions, the specialist must maintain focus, apply technical knowledge quickly, and ensure timely, accurate payroll outcomes.
