Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking an OFAC Sanctions Screening Analyst II for a hybrid role focused on escalation and advanced analysis of sanctions, including SDN and Sectoral programs.

You will guide junior staff, provide final dispositions, and coordinate with senior management to ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in OFAC or sanctions compliance, with banking experience and CAMS/CGSS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, International Relations, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related field required
• 3+ years of experience in OFAC sanctions compliance or screening operations
• Banking or financial services experience required
• CAMS or CGSS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Escalation Review and Complex Case Resolution: primary escalation point for complex OFAC screening alerts and high-risk cases
• Advanced investigation of escalated potential matches using customer information, transaction patterns, and ownership structures
• Perform enhanced due diligence using internal systems, public records, and databases to resolve ambiguous matches
• Review and approve complex false positive dispositions with proper justification and documentation
• Make final determinations on true positive hits, coordinating with BSA Officer and senior management on actions
• Monitor escalation queue to meet regulatory deadlines and provide coverage during high volume periods
• Other duties as assigned
