Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering in vehicle development, including 3+ years leading integration programs.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Breadth across actuation and autonomy system integration and ability to weigh trade-offs.
• Ability to deep-dive on technical issues and coordinate with teams to reach decisions.
• Strong dependency mapping, critical-path analysis and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive reviews and debugging sessions.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a startup pace; collaborative mindset.
• Passionate about self-driving tech and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical integration of Waabi Driver with an OEM partner from program setup to driverless operation.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams using an AI-first approach to enable safe scale of self-driving.
• Translate company goals into an integrated program plan with the partner and align cross-team deliverables.
• Balance resources across Hardware, Embedded, Onboard, Infra and Autonomy and make trade-offs.
• Serve as Waabi's technical face to the OEM, sustaining trust from executives to engineers.
• Triage integration issues on test vehicles and drive decisions to closure.
• Identify risks early, present options with recommendations, and escalate when needed.
• Maintain Waabi standards with partners and adapt to each OEM's workflow.
