Dura Products is an Indiana-based manufacturer of state-of-the-art ag chemical equipment including metering, pumping and dispensing systems. We manufacture all of our products in America’s heartland and sell them globally through an extensive network of distributors.

Ideal Salesperson Profile — OEM Solutions Sales (Electric Valves for Mobile Off-Road Agriculture)

Overview

The OEM Salesperson will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth for our emerging line of electric valves, targeting mobile off-road OEMs, with a primary focus on the agriculture industry. This is a pioneering sales role requiring strong solution-selling capabilities, deep customer empathy, and the ability to open new doors in a traditional market.

Solutions Selling Expertise

  • Able to identify and deeply understand OEM customer challenges and pain points.
  • Skilled at positioning technical products as tailored solutions that create customer value.
  • Not just a "quote and chase" salesperson — must build consultative relationships and solve complex problems collaboratively.

Industry Knowledge and Relationships

  • Ideally brings a network of existing contacts within target OEM accounts in ag/off-road sectors (engineering, purchasing, product management).
  • Understands OEM design cycles, sourcing processes, and product integration hurdles.

Hunter Mentality & Prospecting Skills

  • Comfortable and capable in cold calling, outreach, and getting to the right decision-makers.
  • Tenacious in opening new doors and building new relationships.
  • Self-motivated to work through long sales cycles in OEM environments.

Technical Acumen

  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate technical product benefits (flow, control, automation, safety).
  • Experience working with engineers, product managers, and technical buyers.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Works closely with product management and engineering to relay customer feedback.
  • Can help translate customer needs into product requirements and new opportunities.

Preferred Background

  • 5+ years in OEM or technical sales, ideally in mobile off-road equipment, ag equipment, or related industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of new business development and solutions-based sales.
  • Existing relationships with agriculture or mobile equipment OEMs strongly preferred.
  • Technical degree or experience preferred but not required (mechanical, electrical, ag engineering a plus).
  • Ideally based in Indianapolis area, but must otherwise be based in the greater midwest region.
