Job summary

Grahamjobs in Mebane, NC seeks an OEM Final Assembly technician for the 2nd shift (1p-9p) to complete final assembly of OEM components per engineering specs, instructions, and customer requirements. You will ensure products are inspected, tested, and prepared for shipment while upholding quality, safety, and productivity.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and following procedures to meet production schedules and quality goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous OEM, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Experience with torque tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Dependable attendance and team player.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final assembly of OEM products and components according to specifications and production requirements.
  • Read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials.
  • Install brackets, hoses, fittings, hardware, electrical components, fans, motors, and other OEM components as required.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and other assembly equipment.
  • Properly torque and secure components to specified requirements.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, appearance, and workmanship.
  • Perform required measurements, functional checks, and quality inspections.
  • Identify and correct assembly issues or report defects to the appropriate supervisor or quality personnel.
  • Verify that the correct components and materials are used during final assembly.
  • Complete required production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately.
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting finished assemblies as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
  • Meet established production schedules and quality goals.
  • Work effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Perform other assembly and manufacturing duties as assigned.

Position Summary: Responsible for completing the final assembly of OEM components and systems according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements. The technician ensures finished products are properly assembled, inspected, tested, and prepared for shipment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
