Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic measurements and use inspection tools.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials.

Responsibilities

  • Operate jigs, fixtures, and assembly equipment according to work instructions.
  • Position and secure components within jigs and fixtures for assembly.
  • Assemble parts according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, clamps, gauges, and related equipment.
  • Inspect components and assemblies for fit, alignment, and quality.
  • Perform measurements and quality checks with appropriate tools.
  • Make minor adjustments to ensure proper assembly.
  • Identify defective materials or issues and report to supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow safety procedures, PPE, and company policies.
  • Meet production and quality goals while maintaining safe practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow efficiency.

Job Title: Jig & Fixture Operator

Location: Mebane, NC

Shift: 1st & 2nd

Hours: 5a-1p or 1p-9p

Pay: $18.00

Position Summary: The Assembly Technician is responsible for using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and production equipment to accurately assemble components and products according to established specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain quality and production standards in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate jigs, fixtures, and assembly equipment according to work instructions.
  • Position and secure components correctly within jigs and fixtures for assembly.
  • Assemble parts and components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, clamps, gauges, and other equipment as required.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and quality.
  • Perform measurements and quality checks using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Make minor adjustments to jigs, fixtures, or components to ensure proper assembly.
  • Identify defective materials, incorrect components, or assembly issues and report them to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Meet established production and quality goals while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Work closely with other production team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Perform other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to perform basic measurements and use inspection tools.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position materials as required.
