Position Summary: The High Horse Power Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and testing components used in high-horsepower cooling systems and heat exchangers. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble high-horsepower cooling systems, heat exchangers, and related components according to specifications.
- Read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies.
- Install hoses, fittings, brackets, fans, motors, electrical components, and other hardware as required.
- Perform mechanical assembly, fastening, routing, and component installation.
- Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, torque, and overall workmanship.
- Perform pressure, leak, functional, or other required testing on completed assemblies.
- Identify and report defective components, assembly issues, or quality concerns.
- Make adjustments or rework assemblies as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with other production team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Perform other assembly and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working with mechanical components, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
