Job summary

Thornley Corporate Solutions seeks a Technical Consultant for OEM Customer Engineering (HVAC & Electrical) on a part-time contract in Michigan with remote work. You will nurture technical relationships with GM, Ford, or Stellantis, review RFQs, and help structure responses to complex requirements.

The role is peer-to-peer and not sales-driven; there is no quota. Pay is $40–$50 per hour, plus a $20,000–$30,000 annual guarantee, with genuinely flexible, low-hour remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Release Engineer or similar at GM, Ford or Stellantis or Tier 1 supplier.
• Specialist domain experience in automotive HVAC and electrical systems.
• Active network inside OEM engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build technical relationships within HVAC and electrical engineering functions at GM, Ford or Stellantis
• Review incoming technical RFQs and help structure the response
• Engage OEM engineering contacts engineer to engineer, diagnose requirements and open early technical conversations
• Work alongside the client's sales executives on live opportunities, providing the technical read
