Job summary

STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION is seeking a supply chain professional to interpret, analyze and manage customer demand using STRATTEC systems and customer data. You will maintain inventory levels at STRATTEC and at customer plants, and act as the primary liaison with customer materials analysts to ensure favorable perception and accurate demand visibility.

Qualifications

• Strong ERP user with AS400 experience.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Solid math and analytical abilities for manufacturing environments.
• Understand sales forecast and basic business concepts.
• Authorized to work in the US; willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages a major OEM account.
• Monitors and updates Customer portals as required by the Customer Supply Manual.
• Solicits and maintains favorable contact with current and potential customers.
• Manages customer product orders from entry to consumption at the customer plant; aims for 100% delivery scores.
• Analyzes demand to detect over/under demand and takes corrective action.
• Coordinates with Planning and Customer to manage shortages and leads status meetings.
• Open critical tickets/notifications to escalate supply issues.
• Develops and coordinates recovery shipping plans and changes.
• Reviews inventories at customer plants to detect daily demand changes.
• Understands each customer’s scheduling, releasing and receiving systems and expectations.
• Maintains records and historical data for all products.
• Initiates inventory obsolescence discussions with customers.
• Reviews and addresses shipping discrepancies between STRATTEC and customer records.
• Manages dates for New Model introduction or Model changes with Planning, Operations, and PM.
• Approves and disputes freight debit notes with supporting docs.
• Reviews monthly customer ratings of STRATTEC delivery performance.
• Participates in customer training sessions, product launches, etc.
• Visits site with customer plant schedulers for relationship building and problem resolution.
• Participates in problem-solving sessions and regular team meetings and reviews.
• Informs product teams about delivery issues and new expectations.
