Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation is seeking an OEM Sales Engineer for its Automotive Center in Farmington Hills, MI. The role focuses on pursuing OEM opportunities, leading program launches, and coordinating with internal and external teams to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

BSME, IE or multi-discipline degree preferred.
1-3 years of direct OEM automotive sales experience or equivalent engineering background.
Fundamental understanding of automotive powertrain or drivetrain systems.
Leadership capabilities to function and lead in a team environment.
Awareness of how Development Engineering ties into Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales.
Creativity, independent thinking, and project management skills.
Knowledge of APQP concepts and IATF16949 requirements.

Responsibilities

Pursue and secure new OEM business opportunities; respond promptly to inquiries and identify customer needs.
Oversee management of new program launches; coordinate timing and requirements with customers.
Lead APQP meetings; negotiate sample delivery, timing, and cost.
Manage current business for assigned accounts; ensure on-time shipments meeting customer specs.
Communicate significant customer issues to internal teams with timely briefs and reports.
Provide management with briefs and reports on customer needs, market situations and competition.
