Job summary

A global leader in mobile electronics located near Detroit, MI is seeking an Applications Engineer. This role involves being a technical liaison between the client and OEM customers in the development and testing of multimedia products. Responsibilities include product conceptualization, customer liaison, and installation of audio components into test vehicles. Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in a technical field and have a minimum of five years' experience in OEM engineering of electronic products. Strong skills in teamwork and MS Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in OEM engineering of electronic-based products, preferably audio components.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization of new products.
• Coordination of Sales, Production, and Customer for APQP activities.
• Liaison with customers regarding development issues.
• Install audio/navigation components into test vehicles.
• Identify and record problems relating to the product.

Skills

Basic understanding of business policies and manufacturing organizations

Ability to work in a team environment

Knowledge of 12V car electrical systems

Ability to proficiently operate MS Excel

Education

Bachelor degree in a technical field
