CTL Engineering is seeking ODOT prequalified Inspectors (asphalt) for roadway and bridge projects in Northeast Ohio, beginning with the large I-90 project in Cuyahoga County. The role involves construction administration, inspection, and testing services, with frequent travel within the greater Cleveland area and occasional night shifts.

Mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle is provided depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Notify Contractor or Project Engineer with status updates.
• Conduct asphalt quality control testing at project sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

CTL Engineering is hiring ODOT prequalified Inspectors for roadway/bridge projects, initially the large I-90 project in Cuyahoga county.

We are looking for ODOT prequalified Inspectors (asphalt) who will play a key role in all aspects of construction administration, inspection and testing services for ODOT bridge and roadway projects in Northeast Ohio. Highlights

• This position works independently on broad projects under direction of a Dept. Manager.
• Projects are typically in the greater Cleveland/northeast Ohio region. Frequent travel within this region is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.
• Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.
• Conduct asphalt quality control testing at project sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

• Skill in lab reporting, writing reports and maintaining records.

• Demonstrated ability of monitoring construction and demolition environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Construction inspection experience on ODOT funded projects.
• Extensive experience with asphalt inspection/testing, adhering to specs is required.
• Ability to work frequent night shifts.
• ODOT prequalified Asphalt Inspector II is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
