Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - North Shore (MA) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled home health services. You will assess patients, plan and modify care, and collaborate with physicians to adjust treatments, with an emphasis on helping patients regain independence at home.

The role supports part-time or PRN schedules. Must be a graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program, eligible for national exam, and hold state OT licensure. Reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the AOTA and/or certification via the National Certification examination.
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two years' experience in Home Health preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient's capability.
• Periodically participate with all other home care personnel in patient's care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Responsible for initial assessment, plan of care maintenance program development and modifications and reassessments every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding change in treatment.
