Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - North Shore (MA) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to administer OT services in patients' homes. You will perform initial assessments, develop and modify plans of care, and participate in care planning with the clinical team.

Requirements include an OT degree accredited by AOTA/AMA, eligibility or certification for national exam, state licensure, a minimum one year in acute care, and preferred two years in home health. Reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by relevant boards.
• Eligible for National Registration Examination or certified.
• Current state licensure to practice OT.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities through OT interventions.
• Return patient to optimum living within capability.
• Participate in care planning with home health team.
• Provide prescribed OT therapies and procedures.
• Conduct initial assessment, plan of care, and monthly reassessments.
• Consult with physicians regarding treatment changes.

An Occupational Therapist (OT) administers occupational therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisor/Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capability.
• Periodically participate with all other home care personnel in patient’s care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Responsible for initial assessment, plan of care maintenance program development and modifications and reassessments every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding change in treatment.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and /or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination, -or-
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two (2) years experience in Home Health preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation

Compensation: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
