Job summary

LightFeather is seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the U.S. Department of State in modernizing and maintaining secure, scalable OCI environments. This full‑time, hybrid role requires four days onsite and one remote day per week.

You will design, deploy, and optimize OCI compute, networking, storage, and databases, implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, and ensure compliance with federal security standards (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).

Qualifications

• Active security requirements awareness (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• 5+ years as Cloud Engineer with OCI experience.
• Strong knowledge of OCI compute, networking, storage, and databases.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for IaC.
• Experience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring solutions.
• Ability to support mission-critical federal systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage OCI services including compute, networking, storage, and databases.
• Configure and maintain VCNs, subnets, gateways, and load balancers for critical apps.
• Implement security in line with federal compliance frameworks.
• Develop and maintain IaC scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Monitor performance, optimize costs, and ensure high availability across OCI environments.
• Troubleshoot OCI-related issues and provide escalation support as needed.
• Collaborate with security, development, and ops teams on migrations and modernization.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architectures and processes.
