Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a steward for the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort in Virginia Beach, VA. You will assist the Stewarding Supervisor and restaurant outlets with cleaning and organizing Food and Beverage outlets, including dishwashing, silver care, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work in a busy environment. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same to compliment guest experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle high activity levels.
• Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware promptly for dish or pot machines.
• Wash ware quickly and store in designated areas.
• Keep dish machine cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Operate burnishing machine to finish silverware.
• De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly.
• Abide by attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
