Job summary

Timbers Kaua‘i at Hōkūala on Kaua‘i offers an outstanding food and beverage service role under the supervision of the F&B Manager. You will provide attentive guest service, present menus, take orders, relay to kitchen, and ensure satisfaction in a boutique setting.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of six months in food and beverage, customer service experience, and strong business English. You will multitask, stay organized, and work well with diverse guests in a guest-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of food and beverage experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in business English.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
• Serves patrons from chafing dish at table.
• Carves meat, bones fish and fowl, and prepares flaming dishes and desserts at patron’s table.
• Observes dinners to respond to additional requests and determine when meal is complete.
• Totals bill and refers patron to Cashier.
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services.
• Clears and resets counters or tables after each course.
• Process food and beverage orders using POS system.
