Peraton requires a software systems engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory ocean modeling team at the Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. You will develop, test, and debug scientific software using Fortran, Python, and C++, and integrate with Navy systems to improve model performance.

Competenze

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA.
• Secret security clearance.

Mansioni

• Utilize METOC simulation pipelines, data assimilation systems, and HPC to develop Navy ocean models (HYCOM/NCODA).
• Develop, test, and debug scientific software using Fortran, Python, C++, and integrate with Navy systems (NCOM/NCODA-var).
• Improve model coupling, enhance data assimilation techniques, document software, and support technical reports.
