Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of risk assessment/consulting experience in Ocean Marine, Inland Marine, Workers' Compensation, Industrial Hygiene, or Ergonomics.
• Certification in CIH, CPE, CSP, or similar recognized risk control discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
• Coaching and talent development skills including mentoring and providing feedback.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk control's role in commercial lines insurance products and risk selection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct highly complex risk evaluations for Travelers customers, identifying exposures and opportunities for improved risk management.
• Share findings with Underwriting, Claim, and Risk Control Lab partners to support risk pricing and claim handling.
• Educate customers on risk management and advocate for recommended changes.
• Mentor Risk Control consultants and junior specialists; review survey reports for accuracy and coach them.
• Attend industry conferences and deliver targeted trainings on discipline-specific topics.
