Santana Hills Healthcare Center in San Jose, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT to help patients develop and regain daily living and functional skills.

We offer paid training and orientation, competitive benefits including life insurance, and flexible schedules: full-time, part-time or PRN/per diem. CPR certification preferred; associate degree required and state license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current OTA/COTA license or certification in California.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, pediatrics, or outpatient settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises according to treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Observe patients during sessions and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Santana Hills Healthcare Center is a 167-bed facility with 90 skilled nursing beds and 77 sub-acute beds, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care for rapid recovery in a central San Jose location.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises according to treatment plans
