Job summary

The Lychee Holdings, LLC seeks a Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Staff OT in patient care and documentation. You will contribute to treatment plans, assist with family education, and help coordinate discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must be licensed OTA in the state and proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care; strong communication and documentation skills are required. This is a non-supervisory, on-site role in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.
• Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility.
• Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third-party payer requirements.
• Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient’s families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.
