Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support licensed occupational therapists in implementing patient treatment plans in accordance with state guidelines. You will screen residents, assist with rehab activities, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

You will also help with scheduling, training families, and ensuring regulatory compliance and privacy guidelines are followed. The role offers benefits including health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AOTA-accredited program is required.
• Licensed COTA may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Conducts resident screens (without interpretation) as allowed by state practice act.
• Helps residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
• Monitors an individual’s activities to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement.
• Records resident’s progress for use by the occupational therapist.
• May assist in scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, restocking or ordering supplies, and completing insurance forms.
• Provides training to residents, caregivers and families according to the resident’s care plan.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Education

Associates Degree from a AOTA accredited program
